When you run out of batteries, but you have a few lemons at home. To start, we put copper coins and galvanized nails on different sides of lemons. Then we connected the nail to the copper coin on the next lemon in a line with a wire. After connecting red wire (representing "+") to the coin on the first lemon and black wire (representing "-") to the nail of the last lemon, it was time to test the power. It made Alex really happy to see how LED lighted up and the buzzer started making a sound with a power of just a few lemons.
Keep in mind that in this experiment electricity comes not from a lemon but from Zinc on galvanised nails, so you, in fact, can use just one lemon and put a few nails and coins there to get the same results. I used a few lemons to make it more visual for Alex
