It's time to continue singing along to Esther: A Musical Adventure!
After the royal banquet, it seems that things are looking up for Esther and Mordecai. The plot to kill the Jews is uncovered, and King Xerxes demotes Haman to royal stooge. Looks like we're on track for a happy ending, right? Right?! Well, it's a bit more complicated than that, because King Xerxes can't reverse the decree against the Jews!
In the musical's final song, "Something's Going On Here (Reprise)," we see that the work of God's people is never entirely done. Mordecai is discouraged, but Esther tells him that now it's his turn to take action and be part of what God is doing!
Meanwhile, all the Jewish people in Persia gather together to celebrate what God has done through Queen Esther. But they have a choice to make, too: Will they choose to be part of God's plan? It's the same question that each one of us has to answer!
