It's time to continue singing along to Esther: A Musical Adventure!
The song "Something's Going On Here" covers a lot of ground! It begins with a letter from Queen Esther to her cousin Mordecai. Thanks to the information he uncovered, King Xerxes' life was saved! But Mordecai has some news to share, too: the King just signed a decree to kill all the Jews!
The rest of the song is a dramatic back and forth between Mordecai and Esther. Mordecai pleads with Esther to talk to the King and ask him to call off the royal decree. Mordecai believes she's the only person in the whole city who can stop this evil act from happening. Esther is not so sure going to see the King is a good idea... and can we really blame her?!
