I recently went to kingwood near lake Houston visiting family and found this creek along a waking path. First day I fished in the shallow pockets and threw a wacky rigged 3" senko. The next morning I went to the wider spot and shad were schooling and bass were busting everywhere. I caught a majority of my fish there on a weightless fluke and senko letting it sink underneath the shad schools and the bass would nail it. I also caught a few on a squarebill and lipless crankbait. The last day a cold front came in the morning and screwed up the bite. Fished a super fluke Jr. on a 1/0 gamakatsu hook very slowly and managed 6 the final morning. I ended up catching 50-60 total in about a half mile stretch of the creek.
