I got invited the other day to go out on a friends boat to Fayette county lake so I took up the offer. We got there really early and caught a couple up shallow on worms and squarebills. Later in the morning it started getting hotter so we moved deep and started jigs and deep diving crankbaits. After about five minutes I hooked into a big one and it turned out to be 5lbs 11oz. We caught a bunch of nice fish after that on deep diving crankbaits for about an hour. In total we caught about 25-30 with four fish over 5lbs which is a great day in this Texas heat.
