This Torchlighters episode highlights the story of Amy Carmichael, the woman who spread the word of Christ throughout India on her mission trip. During her plight, she comes across a young girl named Preena, who had been sold to a temple in India by her family so they could attempt to gain the favor of the Hindu gods. When Preena sees Amy, she knows that this woman is special. Through a miraculous work of God, Amy returns to her village from her missionary journey just as Preena escapes the temple where she was held captive. Reunited, Preena becomes the first of many children to join Amy and spread the word of God.
