This tradition in our family makes Christmas presents opening extra entertaining for adults. Every year I take boys to a shop where they can buy anything for a pound to choose presents for the whole family. Max usually spends first half an hour choosing what he would love for himself. So the most challenging part is to explain that they are looking for presents for everyone else but themselves. I do not influence their decisions, so getting a set of ten colourful sponges scourers is a normal thing (: Every year they surprise us with hilarious gifts.
